About Me

I first returned to Scouting as an adult volunteer in the fall of 1996 after a 10-year hiatus. I was involved as a youth in Scouting with 23rd and 15th Burlington from Cubs through Venturers, earning the Chief Scouts Award in 1981. I first came to Carlisle in 2002 as a Beaver leader, and subsequently helped restart the group's Cub and Scout Programs, leaving the group in 2010 to concentrate on my work with 15th Burlington / 15th Strathcona.  Currently, I am Area Commissioner for Burlington. In my spare time, when I'm not singing the Moose Song, I work as Quality Manager for a Natural Gas vehicle component manufacturer in Guelph, Ontario.

I live in Dundas with my wife (a former Guider and Burlington Area Registrar), step-daughter (Area Youth Commissioner and a member of the Halton MedVents), and 2 sons (Future Beavers!).

About Me

You can see; my name is Vanyel

I look forward to meeting You and our company is always looking for new members~!

I was born in 1994, and have been in scouting since I was a cub. I joined a a last year cub or "scub" as the nickname was and went through 3 years of scouting with a year's break in between. After that, I went into the venturer program and with the help of 3 others, created the 1st Carlisle Venturer Company. We are a fun-loving group, always there to help out where we're needed and always willing to try something new. We commonly interact with the scouts, cubs and beavers and are always willing to lend a hand.
