Last Monday we all were invited to a skating night for a meeting. Happy to see that lots of you guys attended. It was a fun night. In my opinion a little cold but full of lots of smiles and laughter.
Tomorrow night we're having a RONA night. I don't know all the official details but sure looks like fun.
Hope to see you there.

Sorry that the past few meetings haven't been up. I personally haven't been able to attend them, sorry again.
This past tuesday we went through the Hug A Tree program.
We learned how to hug a tree ( stay where we are when were lost ) and not go looking around.
Learned how when we go out for walks we should bring a whistle and a ( bright ) garbage bag if possible.
And also got some Hug A Tree whistles.

The past weekend we had our 1st Carlisle All-Section Camp which lots of you came to. It was cold outside but we were all pretty toasty warm inside our lodge. Activities seemed to be a pretty big hit during the afternoon, and we ended the night with a camp fire.
We still have some Lost and Found items left to be claimed. Most of them I believe uniforms. If your missing anything please come see us.

Tonight we started our Cub Cars by getting the starting shape to them and maybe sanding the corners down and adding some more pieces our your own taste to it.
Next week we'll be continuing our cars and putting the wheels on so they're actually car and not just blocks of wood.
Don't forget to bring your car back for next week.
See you soon

As most of you know today is Remembrance Day. Last night we watched a video about it and got more of a grasp of what has actually happened and still is. We discussed what were going to be doing next week ( making camp chairs ) and made Christmas Cards for those who are still at war right now. The cubs all did a fantastic job with all there cards and were very active and sincere about it.
Fantastic Uniforms Guys. Hope to see everyone next week!

Sorry I haven't put the blogs up the past few weeks.
Last Meeting the cubs went to the post office. There we watched a video of how the mail was taken from the mail boxes close to our houses and the journey it makes to finally meet it's destination. After we went down to the floor and saw first hand on how everything was sorted. I don't know if it was only me but that place was pretty huge. Everyone did a great job of listening. and uniforms were worn very well. Hope...Read Full Post »

Sorry about the blog being late for last week's meeting.
We went on a hike. It was a bit rainy towards the end but ended up being a fun activity over all. That night Baloo gave us homework that is to be due for next week :). It is to draw a picture of what one of the following type of water fall and to know hows it's different from other other waterfalls.

A huge THANK YOU to those who came out last Saturday to help with the paper drive. We managed to collect 9.7 tonnes of paper, cardboard, books, etc. plus returned empties to the tune of $200 to the LCBO!!
We really could have used some more volunteers as we were not done until after 2 pm (much to the dismay of our 'customers', who kept calling and driving by advising us of "paper that was missed during our pick-ups" but was actually in areas...Read Full Post »

Last night we had some fun activities learning and refreshing the wolf cub law, promise, motto, and code of conduct. We had some dress up games and relay races. We were very impressed with the uniforms shown by most of the cubs and how most of them already had their cub hand books. Good job everyone! Next week were going to be doing a hike.
